Celebrating Love. Championing Equality. Uniting Community.

Pride Edinburgh is Scotland’s longest-running celebration of LGBTQ+ life, culture and equality. Every year, we bring together thousands of people from across Edinburgh, Scotland and beyond to stand proudly, celebrate diversity, and continue the fight for inclusion and rights for all.

More than just a day of celebration, Pride Edinburgh is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go.

OUR STORY

Pride Edinburgh began as a grassroots march for visibility and equality. What started as a demonstration of solidarity has grown into one of Scotland’s most anticipated cultural events combining activism, music, community and joy in the heart of the capital.

While the event has evolved, our purpose remains the same:

To create a safe, inclusive and empowering space for LGBTQ+ people and allies to come together in solidarity and celebration.

We honour the activists who paved the way before us, and we continue their legacy by amplifying voices, advocating for equality, and fostering community.

What Pride Means to Us

Pride is protest. Pride is celebration.

Pride is visibility. Pride is belonging.

For many, Pride Edinburgh is a moment of joy and freedom. For others, it is a vital platform for representation and advocacy. We recognise that Pride exists because of the resilience and courage of LGBTQ+ communities, and we remain committed to keeping equality and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.

Pride Edinburgh would not exist without its volunteers, partners and supporters. From planning committees to event-day teams, our community makes Pride possible.

If you’d like to get involved, volunteer, partner with us or support the event, we’d love to hear from you.
